Catfish are predominantly freshwater fish, while the dogfish can be found in salt water. The dogfish is a smaller species of sharks. However, when compared to the catfish regarding strength, and ferociousness regarding feeding, the catfish is more agile than the dogfish.
Catfish vs Dogfish

Catfish depend on stealth and speed to approach prey and consume them. During spawning, the eggs laid by catfish are fertilized outside its body, on the other hand, dogfish eggs are fertilized in its body when the male injects its sperm into the female dogfish, in an oviparous reproduction process.
